No Arrests Yet in Beating After Oktoberfest

Clayton Police are still looking for suspects in the beating of a 19-year-old woman on Sept. 25.

Though Clayton Police say they are following leads, there have been no arrests made in the beating of a 19-year-old woman after Oktoberfest on Sept. 25, Sgt. Richard McEachin said.

Last week, Clayton Police said they that they were investigating.

The attack happened at about 9 p.m. after Oktoberfest ended when eight to 10 young men punched and kicked the victim at Oak and Main Streets near the entrance to the pedestrian tunnel that leads to the library.

The victim lost consciousness, had a broken nose and a concussion and was treated at a hospital for her injuries. She has since been released.

The suspects were last seen heading toward the on Center Street. Two of the attackers fled in a black 90s model Audi. It is unknown whether the others left in a car or on foot, police said.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males between the ages of 17 and 19. They were accompanied by a white female between the ages of 17 and 19.
