Ten additional counts were filed against a Mt. Diablo Unified School District custodian facing child molestation charges, according to the Contra Costa Times.
The counts include three additional alleged victims. However, a prosecutor declined to tell the paper Thursday whether the new victims attended local schools where John Astor, 44, worked.
Walnut Creek Police said in a Dec. 23 press release, just a day after the arrest was made, that two children associated with the initial charges were not students at any school where Astor worked.
Astor now faces 20 felony charges of child molestation. The Times reports Astor pleaded not guilty on Thursday.
Astor is still in jail with bail raised to $3 million.
