Missing Walnut Creek Teen Found in Concord

Update: Las Lomas High School student Larissa Huntsman went missing in August and was found with her biological mother in Concord Tuesday.

A teenage girl was found around 4 p.m. Tuesday hiding at a Concord residence, police said.

Larissa Huntsman had last been seen leaving Las Lomas High School at about 1 p.m. on Aug. 24.

Walnut Creek detectives were responding to a tip that came in to the Concord Police Department.

Larissa was missing voluntarily with the assistance of her mother, Laura Huntsman, who does not have custody of her daughter, according to police.

Police have referred the case to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office and it is possible charges will be filed against Larissa's mother.

Police said Larissa Huntsman was now in the custody of Contra Costa County Children and Family Services, Bay City News Service reported Wednesday.
