An 80-acre vegetation fire that started Friday night in a rural area of Contra Costa County was fully contained this afternoon, according to Cal Fire officials.
Around 6 p.m. this evening, Cal Fire officials said the vegetation fire, known as the Marsh Fire, was 100 percent contained.
The fire was reported shortly before 10 p.m. on Friday just southeast of Clayton and off of Marsh Creek Road and Aspara Drive, Cal Fire officials said.
An evacuation order for homes along Bragndon Way was lifted this morning. The California Highway Patrol briefly closed sections of Marsh Creek Road while firefighters battled the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but CHP officials said it appears the blaze started when a car drove into a power pole, knocking power lines down and sparking the fire.
PG&E crews were on the scene this morning repairing the downed lines, according to the CHP.
Firefighters remain at the scene checking for potential hot spots.

A 120-acre vegetation fire that was sparked by a car accident in Contra Costa County on Friday night is 60 percent contained as of this morning, according to Cal Fire.
The fire off of Marsh Creek Road, near Aspara Drive, and east of Clayton was reported shortly before 10 p.m., Cal Fire officials said.
A blaze started when a car drove into a power pole and power lines are down in the area, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.
An evacuation order that was for homes along Bragdon Way was lifted this morning, according to Cal Fire.
The California Highway Patrol has closed all lanes at 16711 Marsh Creek Road in front the Clayton Regency Mobile Home Park due to the fire.
The CHP has also closed Marsh Creek Road at Aspara Drive and the roadway is estimated to reopen around 10 a.m., according to the CHP.
