Man Injured During Shooting at Jack In The Box

Investigators are seeking information about a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that injured a man at a Jack in the Box parking lot in Antioch Sunday afternoon, a police lieutenant said.

Shortly after 4 p.m., police responded to the fast-food restaurant at 4801 Lone Tree Way after receiving reports of a shooting, Lt. John VanderKlugt said. The victim, identified as a 33-year-old Antioch man, was seated inside a vehicle when police arrived, VanderKlugt said. He appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not yet been released, according to VanderKlugt.

The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of police. No weapon has been located and no suspect description has been released, the lieutenant said. The shooting remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.
