Three misdemeanor, sexual battery assaults -- possibly by the same suspect -- have occurred over the past two months in the greenbelt, walking path area between North and South Larwin avenues in Concord, according to police.
In each case, a juvenile male approached a woman from behind, physically groped her over her clothing and then ran off on foot, said the Concord Police Department.
The incidents reportedly occurred: March 22 at 11:57 a.m.; May 1 at 8:45 p.m.; and May 5 at 6:55 p.m.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Asian male in his early to late teens, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, thin-to-average build with short black hair.
None of the victims were injured or threatened, and no weapon was used or seen, police said.
Based upon the offender’s physical description, behavior and the location, the same suspect is believed to be responsible for all three assaults, police said, and it is likely that he either lives or is associated in the surrounding neighborhoods.
