Highway 4 Crash Leaves Car In Ditch and Dog Injured

The one-car crash occurred on westbound highway 4 at the highway 242 ramp in Concord occurred around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 3.

A one-car crash on state Highway 4 in Concord sent the vehicle into a ditch off and left a dog injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 12:40 a.m. on westbound Highway 4 just west of the state Highway 242 connector ramp in Concord, the CHP is reporting.

Initial reports indicated that occupants were trapped inside of the vehicle, but no information about any injuries was available Wednesday morning. Contra Costa Animal Services personnel were called to the scene to take a dog injured in the crash to a veterinarian's office, according to the CHP.
