Fire District Offers Replacement Smoke Alarm Program

This Saturday, residents can have fire officials replace old or broken alarms—or install them if none exist.

Remember to "Spring Forward" this Sunday!

And also remember to change the batteries on your smoke alarms. For those of you with no smoke alarms, damaged alarms or those more than 10 years old, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District will be installing free smoke alarms Saturday, March 12.

If you live in one of the communities served by the fire district and don't have a working smoke alarm in your home, call the fire district at 925-941-3327 to request an installation, replacement of a non-working smoke alarm, or for a test of your existing alarm(s).
