Fire Crews Douse House Fire in Pittsburg

Fire crews controlled a one-alarm fire that started along a fence in Pittsburg on Saturday and spread to a nearby house, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher. The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of Burton Avenue in Pittsburg, the dispatcher said. Crews arrived on the scene to find a fire burning along a fence between two homes. At some point, the flames spread to one of the two homes, according to the dispatcher. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control a short time before 10 a.m. No injuries were reported.
