Fire at Concord Home Appears Accidental
Fire marshal says the damage estimate at Phyllis and Wilson lanes is $100,000.
The fire that caused extensive damage to a home at Phyllis and Wilson lanes around 6 p.m. Thursday appears to be accidental, fire authorities said.
“The fire appears to be accidental, starting on the exterior of the building and extending into the attic, bedroom and a bathroom,” wrote Lewis Broschard, a fire marshal for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District in an email.
There were no injuries reported. Firefighters estimated the damage at $100,000.

Broschard said all occupants were out upon firefighters’ arrival. The family is staying at an area hotel courtesy of its insurance company, a source in the residential neighborhood told Patch.
