Female Employee Robbed Outside Black Angus in Pleasant Hill

Gun flashed as warning at male co-worker trying to help.

Police are investigating a robbery outside a Pleasant Hill restaurant on Saturday night.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at a Black Angus restaurant at 3195 N. Main St. around 10:30 p.m., police said.

Two suspects approached two restaurant employees, a male and female, as they stood outside the front entrance of the business, according to police.

One of the suspects grabbed the female employee's purse and a struggle ensued, police said.

The female employee was knocked to the ground and both suspects ran off with the purse, according to police. She suffered a minor laceration in the scuffle, police said.

The male employee followed the suspects and one brandished a handgun at him, police said.

The suspects were last seen running away from the restaurant towards Oak Park Boulevard, police said.

Officers searched the area for the suspects without success.

Both suspects are described as black men in their 20s with a thin build. One of the suspects wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans while the other wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
