UPDATE: Hit-and-Run Fatality ID'd as Concord Woman, 46; Pickup Driver Sought by Cops

The female pedestrian was left dead in the road. Police are seeking the driver of a pickup truck believed responsible.

A woman killed in a hit-and-run collision in Concord late Sunday night has been identified as 46-year-old Yolanda Tiscareno, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

Police are continuing to look for the driver of a pickup truck who fled after fatally striking Tiscareno, a Concord resident, around 11:40 p.m. along Willow Pass Road near Fifth Street.

Police determined that a pickup truck traveling east on Willow Pass Road left the roadway and hit Tiscareno, who was walking west on the sidewalk.

Arriving officers found Tiscareno deceased on the roadway, according to police. Police are looking for a pickup truck with front-end damage.

Concord police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run that happened on Sunday night.

Officers responded to a report that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian in the area of Willow Pass Road near Fifth Street around 11:40 p.m., the Concord Police Department said.

A pickup truck traveling east on Willow Pass Road left the roadway, hit a pedestrian walking west on the sidewalk and fled the scene, police said. Arriving officers found the victim deceased on the roadway, according to police.

The victim's identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin, police said.

Police are looking for a pickup truck with front-end damage and anyone with information is asked to call Officer Ken Carlson at (925) 603-5931.
