Dublin Man Crashes Car Into Clayton Home

The man was arrested at Safeway after walking away a car police said he crashed into a Windmill Canyon Drive home early Wednesday morning.

A Dublin man crashed his vehicle into a home on the 3000 block of Windmill Canyon Road early Wednesday morning, according to the Clayton Police Department.

After the crash, police said, the man left the car and his passenger and walked to the in Clayton Station.

Clayton police, responding to a report about a dishevelled and intoxicated man at Safeway, arrested the house-crashing suspect on suspicion of DUI at about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Nobody in the home was hurt, but a car parked outside the house had front-end damage from the collision. The suspect's car was on its side when officers arrived.
