Concord Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on Solano Way

Police are looking for driver of a second car that struck the woman; dog also dies at the scene.

A 53-year-old Concord woman and her dog were killed Sunday when they were struck by two vehicles at struck by a two vehicles the intersection of Solano Way and Avon Avenue.

The website Claycord.com is reporting that family and friends have identified the woman as Sherree Lindborg.

According to Concord Police, the pedestrian was in the road because of an unknown issue with her dog. She was struck by a 17-year-old driver traveling southbound on Solano Way at about 5:50 p.m.

As the juvenile stopped to check on the pedestrian, who lay injured in the roadway, the pedestrian was struck by a second vehicle that also traveled southbound on Solano Way. The second driver pulled to the side of the road and had a short conversation with the 17-year old male before fleeing the scene. The identity of the second driver is unknown at this time.

The female pedestrian and her dog were was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver is described as a white male adult, approximately 20 years old with brown hair and clean shaven. He had a female passenger in his vehicle at the time of the collision. The vehicle was described as a dark colored 4-door sedan with a hatchback.
