Life skills, and how to deal with the pressures of growing up socially should be just as important as academics in school.

parents should be teaching life skills but unfortunately many parents just don't show up to do that for their kids....

Perhaps the school should pay attention or train on bullying? I think this might drive a 9 year old to these measures, but of course I don't know what caused her to do what she did.

More school yard supervision during recess, lunch. Each day a few minutes of the teachers time to explain "bullying" & what a child shld do if bein bullied & the consequences the one bullying will face. Its going on & we all need to pay attention & listen!!!
