Concord Police Looking for Hit-and-Run Driver

Pedestrian sustained minor injuries in Tuesday incident at Willow Pass Road and Granada Drive.

Concord police are looking for the public’s help in tracking down a driver in a hit-and-run incident with a pedestrian Tuesday morning.

About 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Willow Pass Road and Granada Drive to investigate the report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle, reported Lt. Dave Hughes.

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at a local hospital.

“A preliminary investigation into the collision established that the pedestrian was walking across a parking lot driveway when he was struck by a slow-moving car,” said Hughes.

The vehicle fled the scene and the driver remains unidentified.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 1970s, brown Chevrolet Camaro.
