Concord Police say they are investigating the possibility of murder/suicide.

Concord Police have identified the two bodies taken from a Bedford Road home early today as 32-year-old Frederik Meurer and 32 year-old Miranda Pretoli.

It appears that the couple was living together at the residence.

No further information will be available until after autopsies are performed later this week, said Police Lieutenant Brandon Richey.

Contra Costa coroners were on the scene Tuesday morning and removed two bodies from the home in what appears to be a domestic conflict, the Contra Costa Times reported.

Neighbors told the Contra Costa Times that a man in his 30s and his girlfriend lived in a rear building on the property, while an elderly parent lived in the main house. The family has lived in the home for a quarter of a century, a neighbor said.

Investigators believe there are no suspects outstanding, though the investigation is ongoing.

If it is deemed a homicide, it would be the second in Concord in as many days. On Sunday, in the Clayton Valley Shopping Center parking lot.

Officers arrested a 20-year-old in connection with the stabbing.
