How many arrests were there this week? There were 57 arrests listed in the Concord Police Department's report for Oct. 19 to Oct. 25, compared to 76 in the previous week.
Who was arrested? A total of 25 arrestees were from Concord, making up the majority of arrests, followed by out-of-towners with 18 arrests. A total of 14 transients were arrested, mostly for warrants.
What they were arrested for? The charges with the highest number of arrests were warrants (11), DUIs (11), being under the influence of a controlled substance (6) and possession of a narcotic controlled substance (6). There were five arrests for public drunkenness, four of which were Concord residents.
