Concord Man Killed in Solo Car Crash

A Concord man died in a Sunday afternoon rollover crash in Lafayette.

A 28-year-old Concord man was killed Sunday afternoon when his Honda struck a tree and utility pole in Lafayette.

A coroner's spokesman identified the victim of the car crash as Charles Silverman, 28, of Concord, the Contra Costa Times reported.

Silverman's car sheared a power pole at Springhill Road and Pleasant Hill roads in Lafayette at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, said sheriff's Lt. Leslie Warren. The sheriff's office and Lafayette police are investigating the incident.

The crach knocked out power to 651 customers, according to PG&E, but power was restored to most by 6 p.m., the Times reported.

Annabelle, your comment has been deleted due to the use of inappropriate language. Your point is well taken though. This man's life is worth much more of a focus than information about the morning commute.
