A Concord man was arrested Wednesday after a ConFire investigation named him the suspect of multiple burglaries dating back to July of 2011.
Steven Wright, 42 was arrested Wednesday by ConFire investigators and Concord Police detectives for allegedly stealing tools and fire equipment, according to a news release.
ConFire reports an investigation points to Wright as the suspect spotted climbing over the fence of the Fire District’s training center at 2945 Treat Blvd, in July after leaving behind allegedly stolen items. A witness was not able to identify him, the report states.
When small tools and equipment went missing in early March, however, ConFire investigators were able to gather evidence pointing Wright to both incidents, according to the report.
Wright was taken into custody Wednesday while fire investigators were conducting a follow-up investigation. He was booked at the County Jail on a felony arrest warrant obtained by Concord Police, according to ConFire.
