Concord Man Arrested After Knife-Point Carjacking On Willow Pass

The incident took place at Willow Pass Road and Parkside Drive early Tuesday evening.

From Bay City News:

A man is behind bars Wednesday morning after allegedly carjacking a woman at knifepoint in Concord, police said.

Concord resident Joshua Judd, 29, was arrested on suspicion of carjacking and robbery and is being held at county jail in Martinez on $200,000 bail, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of a carjacking near the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Parkside Drive around 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sgt. Robert Brady. Judd allegedly drove off in the woman's car, then rammed into a vehicle apparently driven by a witness to the carjacking who was trailing him. He then fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by police, who took him into custody without incident, police said.

No injuries were reported.
