Stormy conditions led to blocked roadways Thursday.

With rain pounding Clayton and the surrounding area, the Clayton Police Department needed to clear roadways twice Thursday.

The first instance was around noon, when a tree fell at Concord Boulevard and Alicante Court. With help from Concord police, the tree was cleared within an hour.

At 12:30 p.m., a mudslide occurred at Marsh Creek Road and Pine Lane. The city's maintenance department assisted officers in extricating the mud, which partially blocked traffic until 2:15 p.m.
