Car and Motorcycle Collide on Marsh Creek Road
Motorcyclist airlifted to John Muir Medical Center; injuries not considered life-threatening.
A 42-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center after he collided with a car on Marsh Creek Road Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A female passenger on the motorcycle was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Neither the injuries to the motorcyclist nor the passenger are considered life-threatening, said CHP officer Tomas Garay.
The accident occurred in front of shortly before 3 p.m. A car was pulling out and the motorcyclist, heading west, collided with the vehicle. The 17-year-old female driver of the car was uninjured, according to Garay.
First responding to the accident was the Contra Costa Fire Department. They were assisted by Cal Fire, according to Cal Fire Capt. Mark Blohm.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
