Candlelight Vigil to be Held for Scott Hickerson

The community will gather at Monument Boulevard and Erickson Road Friday, Dec. 14, to light a candle and honor the 21-year-old's memory. Hickerson was hit and killed by an SUV while riding his skateboard Friday.

Friends and family of Scott Hickerson are hosting a candelight vigil on Friday to mourn the loss of the 21-year-old who was hit and killed by an SUV while riding his skateboard on Monument Boulevard Dec. 7.

The vigil will take place at the site of the collision, at Monument Boulevard and Erickson Road, on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Hickerson is , who left behind mother Kelly, father Alan and brother Brad. A Facebook page set up in his honor, with information about how to donate to help the Hickerson family.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the Concord Police Department, who have identified the driver of the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe as a 21-year-old woman from Clayton.
