Bay Point Man Arrested in Concord Shooting

Concord police arrested a Bay Point man Monday on suspicion of shooting a woman in the neck, police said.

Police responded to Pine Street and Clayton Road on the night of March 22 and found a 19-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her neck.

She was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

Jose Cordova, 34, was detained by police Monday at about 11:30 p.m. and taken into custody without incident, police said.

Cordova was booked at Concord Police Headquarters and is housed at the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.
