18-Year-Old Arrested on Suspicion of Five Home Burglaries

An 18-year-old linked to several home burglaries in the Concord area surrendered to officers at police headquarters early Saturday morning, according to Concord police.

At 3 a.m., Oscar Garcia, a resident of Bay Point and Concord, was arrested on suspicion of committing five burglaries, police said.

That same morning a police investigation had led authorities to Garcia as a suspect in the burglaries, police said.

Garcia is being held in county jail. Criminal charges were expected to be filed with the district attorney's office Tuesday afternoon, police said.
