For years, those of us in the Concord Blvd/Bailey Rd neighborhood have enjoyed watching our resident white-tailed kite family. Yesterday, the owners of their resident tree had that tree cut down (I hope you had a permit!). During the day, the female flew overhead, confused. We, the human residents, put up with the day-long racket of chainsaws and chippers, and the endless onslaught of sawdust that filled the air (I live two lots away). This morning, the female flew over for hours with such a cry, I heard neighbors commenting on how sad this was. Tonight we spotted the female perched at the top of a tree. We hope she finds a new home in our neighborhood. Still, why did you take the tree down? And, if she relocates her family elsewhere, and our rodent population increases, I'm holding you responsible! Just sayin'
