California Apartment Association will host a bed bug training event for landlords on Monday from 3-5 p.m. at City Council Chambers, located at 1950 Parkside Dr. in Concord, CA.
The training comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by Concord residents about the bedbugs in their apartments.
"I’m glad we got their attention,” said Guillermo Elenes, Tenants Together organizer who has been working with Concord tenants. “I just hope their training focuses on eradicating bed bugs in a safe and effective manner, rather than trying to shift blame from landlords to tenants as so many landlords do,” Elenes said.
