"The Ladies Have Something to Say" reception

An opening reception will be held Sunday, Sept 11 for the County History Center's new exhibit "The Ladies Have Something to Say" commemorating the 100th anniversary of California women gaining the right to vote in a special election on October 10, 1911. Photos, documents, replicas of signs and banners, authentic campaign memorabilia, county records of votes cast, a vintage polling booth, the 1912 voter registration record book are just some of the items on display.  Light refreshments will be served.  The public is cordially invited to attend.  Free admission.
