Parks For Picnic And Play: Baldwin Park In Concord

Park: John F. Baldwin Park, 2700-2790 Parkside Cir., Concord CA 94519
Location: North of Bonifacio Street and east of Port Chicago Highway with an entrance at Beach Street.
Size: 18 acres

Picnic areas: There is one reservable group picnic/ barbecue area on a raised platform overlook, and several individual picnic tables with barbecues scattered throughout the park. For information and site availability call (925) 671-3404 from 10am-12pm and 1-3 pm or visit the City of Concord Parks and Recreation website.
Good to know: In the past, Baldwin Park has been a gathering place for the homeless, and the seating areas on the western side of the park by Port Chicago Highway are sometimes occupied by members of the local homeless population.
