Wonder World of Color Event for kids

Kick off summer with fun learning through activities, group projects, awesome takeaways, even a photo booth. Explore the wonderful world of color through crafts and games! With the release of the new kids' book: The Wonderful Colorful Wonder Wheel of Color, we're learning how to pick, use, and mix colors. Kids of all ages will have tons of fun with a rainbow of artistic activities.
A Local publishing company, C&T Publishing, holds a book release event at the Pleasant Hill Library. The Color Party for kids is FREE. The book will be available for purchase through Friends of the Library. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library. 
Author Biographies:Lynn Koolish:  Is a color expert, fiber artist, and author. Lynn shares her love of color with others by teaching fabric-dyeing classes.Kerry Graham:  I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BFA in Graphic Design and minor in drawing and photography. I am a senior designer at C&T publishing. I currently work with Mary on developing new products. I've been a Girl Scout troop leader and lead art projects with the girls. I also teach art appreciation at Sequoia Elementary. Mary Wruck: I am an artist practicing in assorted media but my favorite is watercolor. I have over 20 years experience in art direction, marketing management, design and development of new creative products and sales. I'm an experienced demonstrator and teacher of art-related subjects. I've been a Girl Scout troop leader for 3 years, working with the kids to teach them about art.
About the Book:This book is graphic and colorful. It is more interactive than a traditional educational art book with activities, stickers, color certificate, quizzes, games, etc. It's a workbook so kids can work right in the book!The book explains color theory in a visual and straight-forward way that makes it easy for kids to understand and put to use. Become a color expert and have fun doing it.
