Off the Grid Continues Forging New Ground in the East Bay
with the Launch of
a New Market in Concord

Debuts for Saturday Lunch
What: Off the Grid, the Bay Area’s most prolific network of street food markets,
is excited to announce a new Saturday lunch market in Concord, continuing Off
the Grid’s journey east in to Contra Costa County. Starting Saturday, October 5th,
2013 Off the Grid: Concord at Willows Shopping Center will be offering the best
that bay area street food has to offer from 11am – 2pm weekly, featuring 10+
rotating trucks. “We are thrilled that Willows Shopping Center is the first
Concord location of Off the Grid,” says Marie Villarosa, Marketing Manager for
Equity One, the shopping center’s portfolio holders. “Food trucks have such a huge following and they will be a great
addition to the center's current restaurant mix.”
Perfect for a weekend family outing, or a twist on the classic brunch
with friends, Off the Grid: Concord at Willows Shopping Center is poised to be
a new weekend staple. Based on the recent successful launch in El Cerrito, Off the
Grid is excited to add innovative food driven community spaces within Contra
Costa County.
Off the Grid began in June 2010 with the simple idea that grouping Street Food
vendors together would create an experience that would allow neighbors to
connect with friends, and families to reconnect with each other. Since then,
Off the Grid has worked hard to develop markets that are located in urban cores
of cities, and that utilize spaces that are not easily activated effectively
throughout the day. Currently, Off the Grid operates 23 weekly markets in the
greater Bay Area, and works with nearly 180+ vendors weekly. At its core, Off
the Grid believes in the power of a shared food experience to connect
communities.
