MODERN-DAY SLAVERY INFORMATION PANEL

Do you know what Modern-Day Slavery is?  Do you know how to recognize it?  Do you know it exists here in Contra Costa County?  Would you like to learn how to stop it?  Join Soroptimist International of Diablo Vista at a Modern-Day Slavery Information Panel of experts:  Mark Peterson, District Attorney of Contra Costa County, Sister Caritas Foster, Holy Family Order and Expert on Modern-Day Slavery, and Cynthia Peterson of Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth.  They will discuss what is being done in our county to end Modern-Day Slavery.  All three panelists work to rehabilitate victims so they can regain their humanity and sense of dignity and once again become productive members of society.  For more information on this event, contact Carlyn Obringer, cell (925) 324-9595 or email carlyno@yahoo.com.
