Week in Review: Clayton Valley Charter Dominates The News

A look back at some of the stories Clayton Patch covered last week.

Tuesday

An important week in Clayton Valley High's proposal to convert to a charter school started with Northgate High principal John McMorris n because of the financial impact to his school.

At the Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board meeting Tuesday night (), the board voted 2-2 to rescind its Sept. 13 vote that approved the charter with conditions. Without a majority, the Sept. 13 vote was not rescinded.

Wednesday

Friday

Firefighters early Friday morning. The fire was determined accidential and the two people saved were transported to the hospital but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Continuing the charter news, supporters announced they believe they have the district gave them to become a charter school. The board could make a final determination on the charter on Oct. 25.

Saturday

In sports, for Clayton Valley. The football team lost its league opener to College Park, 20-10.
