Sunshine is Coming

Monday looks to be the last day of rain, followed by a week of sunshine.

After a long cool and wet week, Clayton finally has some sunny skies and 70 degree temperatures in the forecast. However, Monday will remain on the cool side as remnants of the passing low-pressure system slide over Clayton. This will bring partly sunny skies and scattered showers to the city. There is a 50 percent chance of rainfall but if it rains at all it will not be more than a tenth of an inch. The patchy sky will permit temperatures to get near 70 during the day, and it should go down to the low 50s overnight.

By Tuesday, Clayton should see clearing skies and mid-70 degree temperatures.  The high pressure ridging that had been forecast for this week has been weakened by the formation of another  low-pressure system. Fortunately, this should not move over California, but it will disturb the weather in Clayton. We will have clear skies throughout the week, but daytime temperatures will remain below average. The coming weekend has potential to get up to 80, but you'll have to check in on Friday.
