"We are having good news! Bogdan and his great mother are reunite again! I was lucky to witness their reunion, about six hours ago, and I can tell you they were both really, really happy to see each other….

He is OK, a little weak and tired, but he will receive immediate care and needed help and we believe he will be healthier and back to his good self soon, maybe wiser! A big thank you to everyone who helped with this reunion for support, efforts, help and prayers! We couldn't have done it without you!"

Teenager Bogdan Predescu returned to his Walnut Creek home on the last day of July after being missing for three weeks, causing great concern for his friends and family.

"I don’t know all the details but I do know that his mother picked him up at a friend’s house in WC at about 0100 hours on Sunday morning," wrote Pleasant Hill Police Lt. Dan Connelly in an email. "We have closed our investigation."

Sometime on the evening of July 9-10, 17-year-old Predescu took his mother's Honda Civic without permission and apparently left Walnut Creek without taking his cell phone,, Adina Ionesco. He told friends he went to Southern California, police said.

Some friends had been worried that Predescu, due to be a senior at Las Lomas High in Walnut Creek this fall, was abducted. They started a Facebook page called "Finding Bogdan" (which has apparently been taken down now) with more than 750 people following it and suggesting ways to locate the teenager and get the word out.
