MDUSD Unions Plan Protest Tonight
Teachers, office staff, custodians and food service employees will meet at Monte Gardens prior to board meeting.
Taking their lead from the union protests happening now in Wisconsin, hundreds of Mt. Diablo Unified School District employees are expected to protest today before the Board of Education meeting.
In what is being dubbed a "Blue Demonstration," members of Local One, California School Employees Association and Mount Diablo Education Association will rally. The organizations represent teachers, teacher's aides, office staff, custodians and food service workers.
The demonstration will take place between 5-7 p.m. at Monte Gardens Elementary School, the site of tonight's school board meeting. The meeting itself promises to be eventful, as the board will act on .
