It's Shaping up to be an Egg-cellent Weekend

Our weekly guide to family friendly events in and around Concord.

CT Kids' Eggstravaganza

  • Where: ; Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Why Go: CT Kids hosts the Calvary Temple's Eggstravaganza, which includes two slimetime shows (at 10:00 am & 11:00 am), 30,000 egg hunts & inflatable rides, airbrush face art (free for children 12 and under), petting zoo and tons of inflatables.
  • Price: Free

Easter Eggstravaganza

  • Where: ; Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Why Go: First Presbyterian Church hosts its 9th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza. Go down to enjoy a pancake breakfast, crafts, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animas and raffles for gift cards.
  • Price: Free

Eggstravaganza-Easter Egg Hunt

  • Where/When: ; Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m.
  • Why Go: Bring the kids and hunt for the Easter eggs. A fun morning for all, and the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures too.
  • Price: Free

Horse Faire at Heather Farm

  • Where/When: , Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Why Go: Following the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Heather Farm, walk with your family over the bridge to the Equestrian Arenas on the other side of the pond for a fun-filled horse extravaganza! Watch breed and riding demonstrations; get information on 4H, Pony Club, Scouts and other great youth and local riding organizations; talk with managers of local barns, trainers and summer camps.

Spring Break-O-Rama

  • Where:  ; Week of April 25, various times
  • Time: 7 to 7:40 p.m.
  • Why Go: Family storytime and crafts, yoga, Randel McGee and his pal Groark the Dragon, and Lego & Listen are some of the events planned at the library over Spring Break.
