Good Morning Wednesday: School Marches and the Future of Concord

A march to the school district offices and a Planning Commission study session are hot topics today.

Good Morning, Concord!

Today is the big "Concerned Citizens March," organized by  parents, students and staff. They will meet at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. will march from (across from the school) to the district office. For more information, contact erod4obama@gmail.com.

Also, if you are interested in how Concord will grow—and evolve—in the next decade, take part in the Planning Commission's monthly study sessions on the Development Code Update, tonight at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at This is the fourth in a series of study sessions, and will focus on proposed standards for non-conforming uses, structures and parcels, lot consolidation consistent with Housing Element policies, and property upgrades. Sexy, huh? It may sound dry, but this is about how you live. For more information, contact Cathy Munneke at 925-671-3332.
