Festivals and more festivals — Greek, Art and Wine, Martini, Walnut — top the list of things to do this weekend

  • Why Go: The 33rd Annual Contra Costa Greek Food and Wine Festival features freshly prepared, authentic Greek food, wine, music and culture.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where: 525 Henrietta St., Martinez; Friday at 6:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Celebrate the birthplace of the martini. Partake of specialty martinis and epicurean delights from 13 of Diablo Valley’s finest restaurants, and a live, big band/jazz performance.
  • Pricing: $60, $110 for two

16th Annual Lafayette Art and Wine Festival

  • Where: Moraga Road and Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Lafayette; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy continuous live music, arts, crafts, food vendors, offerings from premium wineries and microbreweries. More than 250 arts and crafts booths. The festival features a “Local Artist Gallery” with gifts and display pieces created by local and regional artists.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: S. Main Street and Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Walnut Creek; Saturday at 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Walnut Festival Association's Twilight Parade will wind down Main Street from Mt. Diablo to Civic Drive and will include about 70 groups of paraders
  • Pricing: Free

Gardens at Heather Farm Plant Sale
