Downtown Concord Rings in the Holidays With Santa, Ice Rink, Tree Lighting

Downtown Concord kicks off the holiday season at Todos Santos Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 3.

  • After making a colorful entrance on a bright red fire truck, Santa and his elves will hear children's holiday wishes from 4 to 6 p.m. Parents are welcome to bring a camera or opt for a professional photo available for a fee.
  • The new iceless ice rink will make its debut and will be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 per session per person, including skate rental.
  • The Todos Santos Business Association will sponsor carriage rides from 4:30-7:30 p.m. near Salvio and Grant streets.
  • Performances by numerous community and school choirs begin on the Todos Santos stage at 5 p.m., followed by the Mayor’s Sing-Along and Concord’s Official Tree Lighting.

The event will be televised live on Concord Government TV Cable channel 28 (Comcast), channel 29 (Astound) and AT&T U-verse channel 99, and will be streamed on the City’s website,www.cityofconcord.org.

Todos Santos Plaza is located in downtown Concord on Willow Pass Road between Mt. Diablo and Grant streets. Free parking is available in two municipal garages. The Grant Street Garage entrance is on Salvio Street between Grant and Colfax streets. The Todos Santos Parking Center entrance is on Salvio Street between Galindo and Mt. Diablo streets.
