Do You Have Friends or Family Members in the Path of Hurricane Sandy?

The East Coast is bracing for Hurricane Sandy, which is expected to make landfall early Tuesday morning. Have you heard from friends or family members out there? How are they preparing for the hurricane?

Hurricane Sandy is headed for the East Coast, with landfall due in southern New Jersey around 2 a.m. Tuesday. The storm is then expected to travel up through Pennsylvania on Wednesday and New York on Thursday before heading into Canada.

I have an aunt and a cousin in the Baltimore/D.C. area and they say they're "hunkered down" working from home.

I have sisters who are on Long Island. I was told they waited out the storm. Have friends as well. I am trying to contact to make sure they are OK!

It has been interesting trying to stay focused telecommuting from home, knowing that there is flooding and road closures and no mass transit. A challenge to focus and pretend like it's a 'normal' work day. Not a lot of time to simply be human.
