No, it's not the end of the world. The sky is indeed falling — but it's just the Orionids meteor shower painting a beautiful display of shooting stars for Bay Area residents to wish upon.

All over Twitter and Facebook, locals are saying they saw meteors falling to earth on Wednesday evening.

They described the meteors as blue, red and green with fiery tails. Others said they heard a loud "Boom!" along with the colorful visions.
