Calming Winds and Clearing Skies

High temperatures expected in the 70s most of the week.

After a gusty weekend in Clayton, we'll finally have lower wind speeds this week. There will still be some cool air in the vicinity and minimal wind as the jet stream passes over. Monday will have daytime temperatures in the 60s, with a high temperature of 69 degrees and winds not surpassing 15 miles per hour.

It's looking to be a comfortable week as the jet stream will pass and a ridge of high pressure will build over our area. High temperatures Tuesday through Thursday will be around 75 degrees.

Next weekend looks like it could be a wet one. A storm that originated in Russia is now moving across the Pacific Ocean. The question is which day it will reach the west coast, and how much strength it will gain in its journey.
