Celebrate Dr. Suess and Elmo's birthdays, BMX stunt show and a model railroad.

ELMO TURNS 3

  • Where/When: Borders in Pleasant Hill; Saturday, 2 p.m.

  • Why Go: Celebrate with music, stories and crafts.
  • Pricing: Free
LESTER THE LITTER BUG
  • Where/When: Tilden Nature Area; Sunday, 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Meet and learn how to protect the environment. Visit the farm which features a variety of farm animals including cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and pigs. 
  • Price: Free
MODEL TRAINS
  • Where/When:; Friday, 8 to 10 p.m.
  • Why Go: Go see one of the largest permanent displays of a on permanent display in the nation. It features more than 4,300 feet of track covering 1,800 square feet and reaching an elevation of 5 feet.
  • Price: Adults $3; children (6-12) and seniors $2; younger than 6 free
BMX BIKE STUNTS
  • Where/When: ; Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Clayton Bikes team is putting on a ramp show. There also will be a barbecue and a contest for those wanting to compete. Free stickers for the kids.
  • Price: Free
CELEBRATE DR. SUESS’ BIRTHDAY
  • Where/When: ; Monday, 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Concord library will birthday with books and crafts.
  • Price: Free
