BART's ramp up begins on Friday with extra cars being added to trains during non-peak hours. Around a dozen special event trains will also be running, including one for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Extra station agents and technicians are also being called in, according to BART.

Weekend parking is free. For faster access through the gates, BART recommends getting a Clipper card or buying a round trip ticket at the station where you begin their trip. Customers can plan their trip by using the BART QuickPlanner.
