UNIQLO May Open in Sunvalley Mall

The Japanese clothing store ramps up its U.S. expansion.

The Japanese clothing store UNIQLO might open a location in Concord, California next year.

Sunvalley Mall management said the company is negotiating the terms of the lease with UNIQLO and would not officially confirm anything.

However, a construction crew is scheduled to start renovating a space in the mall on January 6, 2014, according to sources familiar with the project, to accommodate the international clothing retailer.
