Stressed at SFO? Here Comes the Wag Brigade!

A new program aims to make travel more enjoyable.

by Bay City News

Stressed out travelers at San Francisco International Airport will soon have the opportunity for a little canine therapy while they are waiting for their flights.

San Francisco SPCA volunteers will begin visiting the airport this week with eight certified therapy dogs as part of the new "Wag Brigade" program, according to airport and SPCA officials.

The dogs, which have been selected for their temperament and airport suitability, will wear vests that read "Pet me!" identifying them as volunteers.

The program aims to relieve stress for travelers and make traveling more enjoyable, officials said.
