Small Business Saturday Urges Shoppers to Stay in Concord

Nov. 24 is a day dedicated to shopping and dining at locally owned stores as part of 'Small Business Saturday'. Which Concord businesses are you supporting with your patronage today?

Nov. 24 is Small Business Saturday — a shopping day wedged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday that gives Concordians a chance to show their love for local businesses by spending money here in town.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked. With retailers buzzing around the holidays, small businesses in Concord rely on their neighbors to help them continue prospering, building the local economy and providing local jobs.

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores and supporting the community.

Opting to do some holiday shopping at local stores or dining at a restaurant in Concord on Small Business Saturday is the perfect way to give back to the businesses you know and love in the community.
