I've been to the Rack in Mission Valley in San Diego - a little like shopping at Ross - deals on nice stuff, if you can find it in the MESS it gets to be after awhile. Racks and racks of too much junk. The people who shop these stores are not the type to put anything back where they found it, so don't plan on it looking anything like a Nordstrom Store, but it's worth a visit.

Everything at Nordstrom's is so overpriced and the store is almost empty except on sale days anyway. The Rack will be a fun place to prowl for bargains.

"Racks and racks of too much junk. " I guess, if you call Coach, Armani Exchange, and 7 for All Mankind junk. Great deals to be found at the Nordstrom Rack. And no, it does not look like Nordstrom nor will you get the same level of service you would expect at a Nordstrom store. But when you can get a nice oversize pair of Armani Exchange sunglasses for $18.00, I'm not one to complain.

Just so shoppers know, Nordstrom Rack is actually coming to the property just north of Sunvalley Shopping Center, next to Safeway, which is actually located in the City of Pleasant Hill. Please check out http://www.shopsunvalley.com/directory/nordstrom_rack_-_opens_september_12 for more information about the opening day events on September 12th. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Kim Trupiano, Marketing Sponsorship Director, Sunvalley Shopping Center

Yes, Sun Valley Mall is in Concord. When the mall was built, the Concord city fathers/mothers made sure that Concord boundaries included the mall so they could keep partial sales tax revenue!! Interestingly, Concord Sam's Club is actually on county land, and sales tax revenue for Sam's Club does not go to Concord, even though it has a Concord address!! --
